Help Restore Car # 22!

Photos by Rich Currie

ATTENTION!!! MNGRR BEGINS ITS FIRST COMPLETE COACH RESTORATION PROJECT!!!

Follow our progress Photogallery

The MNGRR Steam Team and Mechanical Department has selected car 22 as the first to undergo a complete restoration. Our goal is to have this car finished prior to the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Portland, August 29-Sept 1, 2007.

Car 22 was built in the Edaville Shops in 1958 as a replica of the type of car used by most of Maine’s 2-foot gauge railroads.

Currently, we are looking for $60 donations to pay for all new windows which need to be pre-ordered. $60 pays for a window, and the coach has 34 windows.

Special thanks too the following who have already donated!!!

  • Hans Brandes
  • Mike Moulison
  • Sue Davis
  • Charles Robinson
  • John Marr
  • Shawn Cavaretta
  • Phin Sprague
  • Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Karen Moulison.
  • Steve Kohut
  • John MacNamara
  • Eldon Morrison
  • John Parker
  • Larry Perkins
  • John Roppel
  • Michael Fox
  • William Sample

Additional donations of funds, materials, and labor greatly appreciated! Please help us make this coach a testament to what we can accomplish here at MNG as stewards of this wonderful collection of Maine’s 2-foot gauge equipment.

Thank you,

Mike Moulison
